The weather has been warming up lately and before I knew it I was sketching a whole group of happy smiling teenage characters. Check them out in the Gallery.
It's interesting how, as an artist, your mood can be positively affected and you don't notice until you finish a piece and take a step back from it. I was already aware that when I draw I tend to unconciously make the expression that I'm trying to portray in the sketch, but I suppose it works the other way around as well. Perhaps a bit more purposeful positivity throughout the day would enhance an artists capacity to capture happy scenes and characters in their work?
